League Rules
These rules keep the game moving and maximize skill development, touches, and fun for every player.
Game Format
Running Clock: The clock runs continuously (stops only for timeouts or injuries).
Game Length: Two halves (15–20 minutes recommended; set by league).
Timeouts: One timeout per team, per game.
Scoring
Inside Arc: Worth 1 point.
Beyond Arc: Worth 2 points.
Free Throws: 1 shot worth 2 points.
Possession Rules
Check Ball: Every possession begins at the top with a “check.”
Clear the Ball: After any missed field‑goal attempt by the other team, the ball must be taken back beyond the 3‑point line before a new shot.
After Makes: The opponent starts with a check at the top.
Fouls
Non‑Shooting Fouls: Possession at the top of the key for the fouled team.
Shooting Fouls: One free throw is worth 2 points.
Sportsmanship: Excessive fouling or unsportsmanlike conduct may result in loss of possession or ejection at the referee's discretion.
Other Rules
Jump Balls: Alternating possession.
Substitutions: Only during dead balls or timeouts.
Overtime: Sudden death — first score wins.
